About the Conference
The Regional AI Impact Conference, themed "AI for CE: Smarter Governance, Better Lives," will unite senior government officials, industry leaders, global tech firms, academia, and startups to explore how AI can enhance governance, climate resilience, and societal well-being.
The event will feature a dedicated session by the IndiaAI Mission team, along with engaging panel discussions on topics such as AI towards Climate Resilience and AI towards Effective Governance for a safer and equitable society. The event will also feature a showcase arena, which will provide a platform to various stakeholders to highlight their innovations, ideation workshops, and networking opportunities. The event will also act as a launchpad for initiatives such as the launch of the Bhashini Hackathon (Garo & Khasi), the MeghDEE program, and MoUs for establishing a Data & AI Lab and collaboration with MATH T-Hub, etc., to name a few. A roundtable meeting between the Hon'ble Chief Minister and leading investors will further position Meghalaya as a rising digital hub. A vibrant exhibition of AI and emerging technology initiatives by Government organisations, Academia and Industry will also be a major part of the event. Pre-event awareness campaigns by institutions like IIM Shillong, NIT Meghalaya, and NIELIT Shillong will build momentum ahead of the conclave.

Meghalaya, the "Abode of Clouds," is a land of breathtaking natural beauty, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality. With approximately 1,170 km of national highways, it has strategic potential for wider markets in the South and Southeast Asia. Meghalaya's favourable climate supports IT&ITES, electronics-related development, and its Industrial Policy promotes ease of doing business. Event Highlights
IT & ITeS investment Destination
One of the objectives of the conference is to showcase Meghalaya as the attractive IT and ITeS investment destination. With favourable policies, attractive incentives, sublime climate, techie and English-speaking workforce and infrastructure like Shillong Technology Park, Meghalaya is expecting to bring some big names of tech sector to the state. As part of the summit, with help from Invest India, an investment roundtable has been organized which would be chaired by Hon'ble CM of Meghalaya.
